Core Conference

Victoria Baths, Manchester 24th & 25th September 2025

The festival kicks off with our flagship two-day Core Conference, hosted in the stunning surroundings of Victoria Baths, a Grade II-listed heritage venue turned into one of the most unique tech spaces in the UK.

This year’s main stage will be headlined by:

Ron Thompson – Former Chief Data Officer at NASA, flying in from Washington D.C. to share insights on data strategy, AI and innovation at scale. Orlando Machado – Chief Data Officer at LEGO Group, bringing practical expertise on how one of the world’s most beloved brands is leveraging data to stay ahead.

Together, they headline a world-class keynote lineup bringing global perspectives in data, AI, and digital transformation to the heart of Manchester.

But it’s not just about listening — it’s about doing.

The Tech Expo will feature over 20 local and national tech companies, giving attendees the chance to connect with potential employers, discover new innovations, and explore tools that could transform your business. New for 2025, we’re introducing hands-on workshops across a range of tech topics — from immersive technology and creative tools to product design and data analytics. Don’t miss our Innovation Showcase, where you can get up close with emerging technologies across sectors including EdTech, CreaTech, MedTech, AgriTech, and more.

Whether you're looking for inspiration, opportunities, or new ideas — the Core Conference has it covered

Following the Core Conference, MTF dives deeper with a series of Track Days — specialised one-day events designed to explore the most in-demand areas of tech in detail. Perfect for developers, engineers, practitioners, and tech leaders looking to gain practical insights and connect with peers in their field.

This year’s Track Days include:

26th September – Cyber Security Day Explore the latest threats, solutions, and policy challenges shaping the cyber landscape. 30th September – Women in Tech [Unfiltered] Honest, unfiltered conversations and empowering talks from women across the tech industry. 1st October – AI Conference A focused day on artificial intelligence, featuring applications, ethics, and future trends. 2nd October – Leadership Day Designed for current and aspiring tech leaders — covering strategy, scaling, and team building. 3rd October – Software Development Day A full day of code, architecture, tooling, and best practices from some of the region’s top devs.

Each track day includes a mix of expert talks, panels, and workshops — all tailored for the community they serve.
